Paint Correction

  • Paint correction is compounding & polishing of the clear coat or single stage paint with a dual action orbital polisher. The goal of paint correction is to maximize the gloss and reflection of your vehicles paint by attempting to remove (i.e. correct) wash marks, swirl marks, water spots, light scratches and other imperfections. We use trusted products in specific order with coinciding pads to improve your vehicles appearance. After paint correction is completed, a sealant is applied for protection. Paint correction is performed on all vehicles including brand new vehicles after sale. The only time you do not need paint correction is if you have recently received paint correction at a prior appointment, your vehicle has been properly maintained and is free of moderate imperfections, wash marks, swirls, light scratches, water spots or contaminants like tree sap, tar and iron deposits that require agitation and chemicals to be removed. Paint correction does not fix peeling clear coat, missing paint, gouges, rock chips, body damage, or scratches that are deep into or have passed through the clear coat into the color coat. These issues require a body shop.

*Paint decontamination includes bug splatter, paint transfer, tar, iron deposits, sap and other contaminants.

*HEADLIGHT RESTORATION - Not all headlights can be restored. Each case is different. Headlights are compounded & polished (light wet sanding if needed). This service normally STARTS around $40 at most detail shops.

*Condition issues like pet hair, beach sand, mess from kids, excessive staining, tree sap, over spray, water spots or anything that requires us to put the extra time in to bring your vehicle back to our standards are subject to a $40 price increase. This price increase is not a choice and customers are agreeing to this price by making an appointment. This price increase does not cover all condition issues. Custom prices or refusal of service may apply to vehicles with exceptional condition issues. Please make all condition issues known at the time of scheduling. Examples of condition issues not covered under the $40 price change include, but are not limited to; pet or human waste & bodily fluid, mold, infestations, gas/oil, paint, smoke odor, etc. Smoke odor removal can only be attempted after a complete interior detail and requires the use of a special device (oZone machine) at the fee of $75.This process can not be scheduled under any time limit or restriction.
